About Qerind

One studio, one game, and a stubborn preference for building things that actually work.

Qerind began with a small irritation. A group of us had spent years shipping browser games and kept running into the same pattern: catalogues stuffed with dozens of titles, most of them the same mechanic wearing a different coat, and more than a few of them animations pretending to be games. We wanted to find out what happened if a studio did the opposite — released a single title and then refused to stop refining it.

That title is Signal Run. It is a drop game: a token falls through a field of pegs and lands in one of thirteen slots, each carrying its own multiplier. The mechanic is old, honest and instantly readable, which is exactly why we chose it. Nobody needs a tutorial. You see the board, you understand the board.

The one rule we wrote down first

Before a line of code existed, we agreed that the outcome must always be resolved before the animation begins. It is a small engineering decision with an outsized effect on trust. A game that decides where the token lands and then draws the fall cannot flatter you with a near-miss it invented, and it cannot quietly redirect a token that was heading somewhere generous. Everything you watch on the board is a rendering of a result that already exists.

Why it is free, and why it stays free

Qerind is a social casino. The coins in your balance are numbers held in your browser tab for as long as that tab is open. There is no store, no top-up, no premium currency, no redemption path and no partner that will convert them into anything. When the tab closes, they are gone, and the next visit starts fresh at a thousand again. We find that liberating rather than limiting — it lets us tune the board purely for how it feels to play, with no commercial pressure bending the maths.

It also means we are not a gambling operator and have no interest in becoming one. Qerind does not accept wagers, does not hold funds and does not award prizes of monetary value. What we offer is the shape and rhythm of a casino-style game, without the part where money is at stake.

The look

The visual register — the receding grid, the flat neon outlines, the concentric horizon arcs — comes from a very specific idea: an arcade that a previous generation imagined the future would look like. It is deliberately drawn rather than rendered. Every line on the site is a stroke, not a glow, because we liked the honesty of that. Signal Run's board is built from the same vocabulary, so the game and the site read as one object.

Where we are going

Slowly, is the honest answer. The immediate work is on the board itself: better feedback when a token clips an outer peg, a clearer sense of how unlikely the edge slots really are, and a session history so you can see the shape of your own run. If a second game ever arrives, it will be because the mechanic earned its place, not because a catalogue looked thin.

If you have something to tell us — a bug, a suggestion, or a question about how any of this works — our support page explains how to reach a human.
